• The U.S. Department of Defense awarded a $3.62 million contract to Tissue Genesis, Inc. to continue its research and development activities on treatment options for those suffering from Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD).  Since 2002, Tissue Genesis has been awarded $25 million from the government. 

• SpineSmith, LP, a consortium partner, and Tissue Genesis have been participating in an Internal Review Board (IRB) clinical study in Texas. 

• The Cell Isolation System in Tokyo, Japan, for a clinical study on reconstructive and aesthetics surgery.

• Celling Technologies will utilize the Cell Isolation System to provide adipose-derived cells in procedures at a number of hospitals across the nation.

• Pre-clinical trials of the Cell Isolation System are being conducted at several institutions.

• BioHeart, Inc. (NASDAQ: BHRT), a consortium partner, successfully performed a direct injection of adipose-derived cells into a patient’s damaged myocardial tissue with the Tissue Genesis Cell Isolation System in Venezuela.

• An exclusive agreement with the Canine Health Institute to use Tissue Genesis’ technology in veterinary procedures throughout Houston.
